Different People. Different Stories. One Human Condition.
Every person has a story worth understanding.
Autopilot to Alive is a documentary project exploring the human condition through honest conversations with people from every walk of life.
Some stories are visible.
Others are hidden.
But behind every title, every career, every success, every struggle, is a human being trying to navigate life.
This project exists to listen.
To understand.
And to remind us that none of us are as alone as we think.

Meet Kurtis Mercer
For years, I lived on autopilot—driven by fear, survival, and patterns I didn't even realize were shaping my life. Through faith, self-awareness, and a willingness to question those patterns, I began discovering who God created me to be.
That journey changed how I see people.
I realized that behind every person is a story worth understanding. No matter our background, beliefs, successes, or struggles, we all wrestle with questions of identity, purpose, fear, love, loss, and hope.
Autopilot to Alive is a documentary project exploring the human condition through honest conversations with people from all walks of life.
The goal isn't to debate or convince. It's to listen, understand, and remind one another that we're not as alone as we often think.
Because every story matters. And your story isn't over.
Our Philosophy

The Inner Game of Awareness
The Philosophy Behind Autopilot to Alive
Every conversation begins with the same belief:
That every human being has an inner world shaped by awareness, emotion, identity, conditioning, and experience.
The Inner Game of Awareness is the framework that helps explain why people think, feel, and behave the way they do. It provides the lens through which the conversations on Autopilot to Alive are explored.
If you'd like to dive deeper into these ideas, you can read the opening chapters for free.

Every person's story is different, but many of us move through the same journey.
We survive. We begin asking questions. We slowly become more alive.
Whether you're a student, a parent, a recovering addict, an entrepreneur, a retiree, or someone simply trying to find your place in the world, this journey is about recognizing the patterns that keep us stuck—and taking small steps toward a life that's lived with greater awareness, purpose, and authenticity.
AUTOPILOT TO ALIVE
A Journey From Survival Mode to Purposeful Living
Most people are not truly living — they’re surviving.
Working constantly.
Numbing constantly.
Distracted constantly.
Trying to keep up with a world that feels heavier, louder, and more disconnected than ever before.
Autopilot to Alive is a teaching series about waking up from that cycle.
Through emotional health, nervous system awareness, identity work, faith, and personal transformation, this series explores the deeper internal patterns that keep many people stuck in survival mode — disconnected from themselves, their purpose, their relationships, and God.
This is not just about motivation.
It’s about understanding how the inner world shapes the outer world.
The series explores topics like:
-
emotional overwhelm
-
shame and identity
-
childhood conditioning
-
nervous system patterns
-
people-pleasing
-
burnout and escapism
-
purpose and freedom
-
healing and self-awareness
-
relationships and generational impact
-
becoming fully alive in Christ
Autopilot to Alive is ultimately about rebuilding life from the inside out — and rediscovering the person God created you to be beneath the conditioning, fear, and survival patterns.

Creative Courage Coaching
Most people don't need more motivation. They need someone to walk with them while they build the courage to be seen.
These one-on-one sessions combine honest conversation, nervous system awareness, and real-world challenges to help you stop people-pleasing, become more comfortable with vulnerability, and start expressing yourself authentically. Whether that's talking to strangers, building a personal brand, creating content, or simply showing up more confidently in everyday life, the goal is the same: to stop letting fear make your decisions and start living more fully.
Because awareness means nothing if it never becomes action.
