Meet Kurtis Mercer
On May 29, 2026, I quit my 9-to-5 job.
It wasn't because I had everything figured out. It wasn't because I had a perfect plan. And it wasn't because I suddenly discovered that vehicle detailing was my lifelong dream.
I quit because I wanted to build a life that gave me more freedom, more ownership, and more responsibility for my future.
For years, I followed the path that many people are told to follow—go to school, get a job, work hard, collect a paycheck, and repeat the cycle. While there were valuable lessons along the way, I eventually realized that I wanted something different.
I've always been someone who enjoys building things, creating things, learning new skills, and serving people. I wanted the freedom to create my own schedule, make my own decisions, and build businesses that reflect who I am.
New Season Detailing is one of those businesses.
Is it my ultimate dream? No.
But it is a business I'm proud of. It allows me to serve people, earn an income, work directly with customers, and continue building the life I'm working toward. It also gives me the flexibility to pursue other projects and businesses that I'm passionate about as they continue to grow.
What surprised me most is how much I've enjoyed the work.
There's something satisfying about taking a vehicle that's been neglected, cluttered, or worn down by everyday life and helping bring it back to life. A clean vehicle can change the way someone feels when they start their day, drive to work, or pick up their family.
